Carols by Candlelight.
So I just came home from Sarah's house, and my god! The food was amazing! We ate turkey, ham, pork, some sort of plum pudding and Mince pies. The plum pudding is delicious. I told them what we ate here in Sweden, and they laughed. The Swedish christmas food is most offently Ham, Sill(Fish), and meatballs. I was a bit surpsrised that they don't have a christmas tree, they have a "christmas bush". It's a little plant with little read flowers. Just as in Sweden, they get their presents on Christmas morning, and a few on the evening. Santa comes to the kds in Australia aswell. Most christmas traditions comes from Britian since they came to Australia as captives and wounded soilders.
I didn't mention where she lived now did I? They live in Melbourne. Here, they have a tradition called, Carols by Candlelight. Many, many people gather around and sing their favourite christmas carols by midnight. Every lights candles to. This was really cool to be a part of. This tradition commenced at 1937 in Melbourne. We all had a great time.
I hope you all have a great holiday in Sweden and that you get many presents! I got a ticets to a event in Belgium at new years eve called The Final Qountdown. Me and Sarah are going together.

Free Topic: Aborigines
Right now there are about 450 000 aborigines alive in Australia. This is about 2% of Australia's population. They live in villages far away from the cities. There are many different groups of aborigines, for example Wirangu, Walmajarri and Ngumbin. These groups are all settled in different parts of Australia. If you were to compare to Sweden, the group of people that I myself see a resemblance with is the Sami people. They might come from the cold, but they to are people that have lived in Sweden for a long time and still exist. Now, they might also not be 450 000 left but they have their own schools that educate in their language and are not close to extinct. The aborigines do not behave as "good" as the Sami. Many of them have no work. Alot of them actually are extremely addicted to alcohol and about 15% of the aborigines are imprisoned. I myself think that this can be because they might have been drinking for many generations, some cultures drink all the time. This might be one of the reasons that they are so heavily addicted to alcohol. They have been mistreated for a long time. Just a couple of years ago, Australia's Prime Minister went public and apologised to the aborigines, on behalf of the Australian people. This was a huge thing for everyone.
Yesterday I went shopping in Sydney. I bought a new pair of pants and was about to pay, when I see a girl that I think I've met before! It's Sarah! I met her at Defqon last week and we said that we might grab lunch together sometime. We decided to meet again on Saturday.

Family life
When I got to her, it was a bit wierd in the beginning but, everyone can relate to that feeling :). Her apartment was in the middle of the city and really modern looking. White walls, black furniture, black curtains and, well, almost everything was black. She said that I should go with her and pick up her daughter in town. She's a teacher. Schooling in Australia starts with a kindergarten or preparatory year followed by 12 years of primary and secondary school. It's more than Swedish schools, there we only have 9 years after kindergarten. She was really nice and bought both me and my aunt tea at a café close to where she lives. It was nice, felt good to meet some pepole I can really relax around. <fakeblogpost_3/>
Being a Tourist
The first thing you notice when you go there is the massive scale of this building! Well I'm not used to big buildings so for me it's huge. Anyway, when I got in, I was a bit lost. There seems to be three main venues, The Concert Hall, Drama Theatre and Opera Theatre. The biggest one, the one I went in to, is called The Concert Hall. It's extremely big and can host up to 2,679 pepole at the same time! And that's just one of three halls in the building!
I'll include a picture of the building even though I'm quite sure you've already seen it. See ya! <fakeblogpost_2/>
Defqon 1!
<fakeblogpost_2> Defqon 1 is the most famous hardstyle festival in the entire world. The event is hosted by Q-Dance and is really not the kind of festival you'd think. It has multiple stages and isn't quite as organised as other festivals might be. Yet it attracts between 5000-10000 people every year. It's been around for atleast 10 years and to go there was AMAZING! I'd never ever trade that experience for anything alike.
At defqon, alot of famous hardstyle dj's play their latest songs for big audiences. Some of the names that might show up are: Headhunterz, Noisecontrollers, Coone, Psyko Punkz, and The Prophet. As I mentioned there are many stages for dj's tp play. The big names play at the main stag, whilist some smaller names like Ezitsuj, Hardwell and Novak play at the smaller stages. That makes a perfect balance between enjoying big names and discovering new dj's to admire, enjoy and show your support for.
I got very lucky when I went to buy the tickets. I got to the ticnet store, and there was a line the size of a freaking cargotrain! IT WAS INSANE! <fakeblogpost_2/>

Hello!
<fakeblogpost_1> Hello. My name is Martin. I’m doing a “traveling blog” here in Australia. I’m 14 years old, born at the 15th of October, 1997. I’m dangerously in love with technology (yes that's possible). Noting is impossible in the world of computers. I also do enjoy spending time with my friends and longboarding. I’ll post something soon about an event I’m attending called Defqon 1. I’ll be in touch <fakeblogpost_1/>
